yesterday, i went for a little excursion around quartier latin, the student quarter. it was so nice there and i was glad i brought my camera with me

when you arrive in paris and you have the wish to learn as much about this city as possible, you don't know were to start - paris just seems so big and overwhelming.
i decided to simply start were i feel i have to go. so, yesterday, i went for a tour in
st-germain-de-prés. this quartier is basically known for its café atmosphere. literates like satre, de beauvoir, hemingway, fitzgerald and many more drank their daily coffee here and found their inspiration for writing.
i've tried to make some good photos, but it didn't turn out that well. at least, i got some food pictures, haha
macarons dans la pâtisserie "la durée"

i'm so happy, i got a little job as a baby-sitter for a french family. it's not actually babys i have to watch, but two kids, 8 and 12 years old. i have to fetch the little girl from school and help the older boy with his german exercises.
the family is really nice and the kids are two blond angles (as least they seem so), so it should be fun.
maybe i'll start seeing everything through childrens' eyes again..
i finally found a jogging partner who joggs with me in "bois de bologne", the big parisian forest. the forest is only 5 minutes away from my house and it's huuuge -so perfect for running around.
today, we went jogging there for about an hour. he's faster than me which is good cause then i'm improving quicker. i hope he doesn't get too bored with me, haha
